Storyline
Sour Apples follows the story of Aziz Reis, along with his three daughters, to the 1990s in the coastal city of Antalya. It takes you on a journey from south east Turkey’s Hakkari to the Turkish Riviera, during tumultuous years of social and political change in the country. Mayor Aziz is famous for his apple orchard and beautiful daughters. And so begins an adventure that grows into a web of stories about marriages under protest, military takeovers, migration, untold joys and disappointments.
