It is a family tragedy centered around a father and his sons where love, intrigue, revenge never end. Halit Karadag and his sons live in a village named Payidar, where there's a big gap between the wealthy lords and poor peasants.
Halit Karadag is a vulgar man whose main concerns are making money and seducing young women. He is married twice and has three sons: Gulali, from his first marrige, Kadir and Selahattin, from his second marriage. Halit Karadag never has any interest in his sons, and when their mothers die, he sends them away to be brought up by relatives and friends.
His elder son Gulali, tough, drunk and gambler, is in love with the teacher of the town. Gulali has a big conflict with his father over his share on his mother's inheritance.
His middle son Kadir is religious, naive and loved by everyone. He tries to get the dowry money from his step brother Gulali in order to marry Zuhal who wants to marry him only for his father's power.
Halit's youngest son Selahattin who is now a twenty-eight-year-old lawyer, just returns to Halit Karadag's town. His return to town changes everything in their lives.
And Gulhayat.... A beautiful mysterious woman comes back to the town and is ready to do anything in order to get the revenge from Halit whom she blames for her father's death when she was a little girl...
