Storyline
This is a story about the struggle and experience of a family in alien surroundings. The story starts in a village in the southeast of Turkey, surrounded by mountains which are also the permanent residences for the PKK terrorists. Davut, his brothers, their children and grandsons lives there. Davut has three sons. One is a terrorist, lives on the mountains and fights against the Turkish army and believes that he is fighting for their people.
The other one is a soldier in the army. And the youngest one is disabled because of a mine explosion. The village is evacuated and they have to go somewhere else to live. It's not a choice they make, it is a must! Some family members go to Istanbul and as the others go to Norway. Are they really their lives or did something or someone take it from them? Did they want it to be that way?
It won special mention award at 2009 Tokyo International Film Festival.
