Man Up follows Şevkat, a big-hearted but hot-headed man who runs a small egg shop in an old Istanbul neighborhood.
Most of the area is owned by Cevdet, a wealthy antique dealer who quietly protects the neighborhood by keeping rents low, earning the trust of the locals. When Cevdet’s daughter Esin, a ceramic artist, returns from Paris, she moves into her childhood home and opens an art gallery in the market, directly across from Şevkat’s shop. As Esin’s art-world friends enter the neighborhood, two very different worlds collide. Locals and newcomers slowly adapt to each other, leading to cultural clashes, and new romances that bring fresh energy to the neighborhood.
