Gökhan Özoğuz, one of Türkiye’s biggest rock stars, sets out on a journey to explore Istanbul’s resources and the potential risks ahead through expert insights and real-life stories.
Shaken by the possibility of Cape Town residents being limited to just 25 litres of water per day if “Day Zero” were to happen, he attempts to live under the same conditions in his own home, only to realize that maintaining his current quality of life is nearly impossible.
He then returns to the field to explore possible solutions and ways to prevent a dark future where everyday life is disrupted by a major water crisis.
Running in parallel, the documentary presents a scripted storyline that imagines an alternative future, showing what life could look like if we fail to change how we consume water today, ultimately aiming to raise awareness about the looming threat and inspire people to take action.
