Based on the timeless novel by Mustafa Kutlu, Long Story follows Ali, a Bulgarian immigrant who moved to Istanbul with his grandfather as a child in the 1940s.
In the 1950s, now a young man, Ali falls in love with Münire, the daughter of a neighbor, and the two elope.
They begin a life on the road, moving from one small town to another, trying to build a better life wherever they go. Ali’s strong sense of justice and his desire to help others often lead them into unexpected challenges.
Spanning the 1960s and 1970s, this heartfelt journey follows Ali, Münire, and their son as they drift from one railway town to the next, experiencing love, struggle, and hope along the way.
